• Developed a package to be used in a gasoline station to allow sale of gasoline using a credit card. System verifies the validity of the card by checking against a negative file on hard disk, authorizes the sale, and then saves the charge data for subsequent upload to a host computer by dial-up telephone interface or using floppy disks to take the data to the bank. System involved interfacing with the Standard POS Device Handler that is a part of the Base-24 package from Applied Communications (ACI) and also the Visa II protocol.

• Developed software for a hand-held Bible Computer, capable of rearching for a particular word or words, and displaying the text which contains that word.

• Development of a system that can be used by a Federal Government agency to ask a series of questions, and then based on the answers select the clauses that the Federal Acquisition Regulations require be in a government contract.

Manager of Commercial Software Systems 1/82 - 12/82

Management duties -- Responsible for Software Department (seven staff programmers, five contract programmers, plus secretary). Department handled all commercial projects for custom automated material handling systems (both host/data base level and microprocessor/machine control computers, plus handled some machine control work for Government Software Department.

Technical Duties -- Led detailed system design for all projects, and did varying amounts of actual implementation.

Senior Systems Analyst / Project Manager 7/80 - 12/81

Management duties -- Managed project through acceptance testing, coordinating test activities, negotiating discrepancies, etc. through final customer acceptance of system, and subsequently as project went into post-acceptance warranty support period with resolution of "punch list" items

Technical duties -- Did complete system design and major parts of the application code for a Work-in-Process control system for a printed circuit board manufacturing plant.

Systems Analyst / Facilities Manager 12/78 - 6/80

Management duties -- Responsible for Computer Operations Department (three operators), plus manager of Software Site Representatives (four), who were in turn responsible for software at their respective sites.

Technical duties:
** Responsible for Tandem SYSGENs and other operating system maters at all sites
** Responsible for computer room operation in Tulsa
** Acted as staff consultant to other programmers, plus did major amounts of coding myself, in areas of:
** Infrastructure (standards for program layout, method of doing inter-process communication, general utility routines, etc)
